And here people were hoping something would come along and topple the iPod. I had to check the Zune out for myself, it's basically dull-finished 1st Gen iPod clone. And now with iPod friendly skies, the bastardized iTurd will have very rough waters venture through. Go Apple. :D

How would one send an instant message across the store to another computer in the same store? I realize the whole to her portion would require her presence in front of a computer, I am just talking in general, unless you signed into both and sent it to yourself or something :confused:

If she is as smart as she was cute (building the points here in case she is reading ;) ) then she can go check the member photo directory and recall what I look like, I don't care. I would dare to say that if she finds this really creepy then she probably didn't read the entire thread, because after doing so she should realize that I am just shy and unknowing, not stalkerish and creepy (at least I hope not). Either way, if she realizes who this is and is interested, she can say hi next time....guys don't mind when women act too, at least I don't :)

An another note, everybody makes mistakes. I don't think it's necessary to insult some of the parents posting here for their struggles with their children. I bet a lot of the insults come from people who aren't even parents themselves, so they wouldn't have a clue about the complexities, difficulties, and stresses associated with being a parent.
These parents already have their hands full without someone else (who probably doesn't understand anyway) insulting them.

I hope this doesn't come across as overly whiny, but it has been just about the ********* month of my life.
My dad died suddnely, totally unexpected, in his sleep on the 14th of last month, and I'm still crying about it. My grandmother (we were totally tight) died two weeks later. My sister's house in N.O. escaped total destruction, but she can't go back. My nephew flipped his Explorer - luckily he is OK. My partner's mother had heart surgery two days ago....
I need to get away for a couple of days, at not much expense, and away from hoarding crowds. Something fun, totally different and totally mind numbing. Can anyone give me ideas on a +/- 500.00 couple of days?
Just need to get away. :D

My uses would be mainly Web Browsing, Video Watching, Chatting, some gaming (mainly DS and PS2 emulation), Garage Band and Photoshop.
As such, and considering the 9400 GPU already runs PS2 without problem, I'd say my priorities would be:
a) More RAM
b) Better CPU
c) Better Battery Life
d) Backlit Keyboard
e) Better GPU

My wife's an RN and has both been in a number of anesthetized surgeries and has had some herself.
Most patients do just fine - as described above. Redheads are a bit more sensitive to anesthesia (not sure why, but apparently it's true), but that isn't an issue unless your anesthesiologist is color-blind. ;)
Some people - including my wife - are prone to a bit of nausea afterwards, but it's usually short-lived and it isn't an issue with most people. One thing that helps is to pay strict attention to the fasting/drinking instructions they'll give you beforehand. That cookie might seem like nothing when you're hungry before you go in, but you'll regret it upon waking up.
Also, depending on the anesthesia and your particular reaction to it, you'll almost undoubtedly have some period - a few seconds to an hour or so - of time where you are lucid but don't have functional short-term memory... meaning you might say naughty things to your neurosurgeon but then will have no idea why he's looking at you like that later on.... ;)

If your local store does not have it, call nationwide. My local verizon store said they ship for free anywhere in the U.S. by FedEx. I had one shipped to Florida. Hope this policy is not unique to the store I visited.

I understand that trucks will do the most damage, but what I was just offering was that those gas taxes were originally designed for highway upkeep and that passenger cars with wildly different gas mileage should be inflicting similar amounts of damage.
Yes, I know heavier will mean more damage, but the inequitity of the tax based on fuel economy wouldn't (I think) even out the damage versus taxation level. My friend's 1970 1/2 Firebird (6 mpg) would not do more than 10 times the damage of a Prius, would it? More damage surely, but no way would it be 10 times (doubtful it would even be twice), yet the Prius would pay 10 times less for the 'right' of using the roads.
If taxation is designed to ween us from foreign oil and clean-up the atmosphere, then a gas tax is perfect. Otherwise, it needs to be based on miles driven somehow (perhaps along with a weight multiplier).

What I'm curious about is why blindly (for a lot of people) support a very successful band, wouldn't this have been a really nice little story if people rallied to buy a track from a smaller/upcoming band? Or maybe a real charity single or for something more deserving, like them soldier blokes or whoever.

Maybe this should be a new feature for the folding widget: to look when you will be overtaken by someone or when you overtake someone.
No can do, sry.
I too thought this would have been a nice feature and asked EOC to maybe put that data in the xml file they provide.
They will not do it, as it takes away any necessity to go watch your stats on their page (they still do like traffic to the their pages). I understand. The best thing you can do is set yourself a goal to overtake -and maybe a threat - and start multiple instances of the widget showing their positions. :o
