And your point is? There really isn't a need for 64bit cpu's let alone OS's for most consumers. AMD is essentially responsible for putting the pressure on the industry to move toward 64bit as soon as it is.
For consumers a 64bit cpu and OS is nothing more than bragging rights...at least for a few years.

I'm not sure where you get your info but keep dreaming. You fail to mention what cpu's they would use. I don't think your going to see current G4's in 16 processor servers ever. It's just not designed to do it. That's not to say it cannot be done...just that it would be a waste of manpower and money to do it and not be very efficient at it no matter the market.

Let's stop for a moment and think about this without any knee jerk reaction against at&t.
The at&t network in New York City is not able to handle any additional network traffic. It makes sense due to the amount of users in such a small area.
What should at&t do?
I think it is reasonable to temporarily stop selling the iPhone considering the network in New York City. They can resume sales after the network has been upgraded to handle the additional traffic.
at&t has not sunk to a new low. They are finally taking responsibility for their network by not overloading it with any additional data heavy iPhone users.
Note: This post is based on speculation about speculation. Please take it how it was intended. :)

A 4" iPhone would probably replace the 3.5" model so all the current apps would run on it no problem. It might require some tweaking for some apps but the upside is you get to update your app and sell it again.
If they build an iPhone with the same size screen as the iPod Nano then they could invite developers to develop mini-apps for that size screen to be used on the iPod Nano and iPhone Nano, creating a new AppStore category. Would be a huge market and very attractive to developers of news/info related apps.
Thats what I would think would be most likely if there was to be a smaller iPhone. As a developer, I just can't see Apple adding two new iPhone sizes. They can't just make the screen smaller as it may make some buttons/UI elements unusable. The Laffer Curve is often referenced, but you're correct about it's actual meaning. Some conservatives have taken the Curve to mean that lowering taxes will always bring about more revenue. Something this article is trying to address.
Thing about the Laffer curve is that there was/is no research or data to back it up. Arthur Laffer pulled it out of a dark place and scribbled it down on a cocktail napkin. Its actual shape may have no actual correlation to the smooth bell we always see, it is all fiction because no one has tried to demonstrate its validity or accuracy.
In the short-term, lowering taxes just takes money from the state purse and does not drive new economic development. In the mid-term and long-term, lower taxes may encourage growth, but there's not a direct connection between taxation and economic development.
I believe I have seen it suggested somewhere that raising taxes puts pressure on business, which may have the effect of stimulating growth by forcing the businesses to make up the lost revenue (ramping up). What effect government policy has on the economy is not clear because the economy is made up of a mass of Brownian particles that move in unpredictable and befuddling ways. And the factors that affect macroeconomics are themselves in constant flux, so the thing that (seemed to) work last time could have a disastrous impact next time around.
But the issue that troubles me is growth. The health of the economy is always measured by the GDP growth rate: the higher the better. That seems like folly, and history seems to support that. The more vodka, the worse the hangover. The faster you drive, the worse the crash. my att iphone 4 was set to automatic time for phx az and it moved my clock ahead by an hr today even tho az doesnt do daylight savings so it shouldn't have to change ever.. the clock app has had problems since the beginning which is just ridiculous..
to fix all i had to do tho was turn automatic time off then back on and it corrected itself.

I think you're misinformed. The current models simply combined the 1/8" in and out jacks into one port (TRRS), just like the port on the iPhone. For example, you can plug your iPhone headphones into your Mac for use as a headset.

Highly doubtful it's even twice as much 'damage'. An extra 1000lbs rolling along on the same type of rubber tires isn't going to increase wear all that much.
It's not weight that damages the roads, it's pressure. Too much weight concentrated on too small a space is what damages asphalt (and concrete, to a far lesser extent). That's a function of pressure in the tires - two vehicles with the same tire pressure are doing the same amount of damage to the road, regardless of their respective weights.
True enough, a truck weighted down with a full load might have 60 psi in the tires, whereas most passenger cars are in the 30-35 psi range. But in this sense, a small car and a big car (or light truck) are doing about the same amount of damage to the road.
Here in north Texas, it's very true that the majority of damage to the roads comes not from any vehicle, but from unstable soil underneath the roads. I imagine there are many places across the country where this is true.

To me, in Office nothing seemed broken.
From the release notes:
"Microsoft Office for Mac 2001 Service Pack 1, addresses several known issues with stability and usability on the MacOSX platform. Significant to this update is the new "Port to PC" function. With this function, MacOSX users will be continually reminded that they should abandon the Mac and move to a Windows 7 supported PC. Several new instabilities, with annoying alerts were added in order to enhance this functionality. "
And then it goes on and on about some other silly bug fixes. :p

I when to France once before. I remember the cheapest gas had an octane rating of 95 or so, the next level up was 98 octane. I'm assuming that regular in the UK is around 95 octane as well? That tops what get. Our gas starts at 87 octane and tops out at 93 octane for so called premium (about $0.40 per gallon more than regular where I'm at).
Anyhow, judging by how our gas is priced, it's about 2x what we pay here in the States. You win some (having better cars), you lose some (higher priced gas).
Yes 95 octane is the lowest and there are also brands like Shell V-Power and BP Ultimate that offer up to 102 octane.
I always go with the 95 octane version and my car gets about 41mpg (US) using this fuel.
Anyhow, judging by how our gas is priced, it's about 2x what we pay here in the States. You win some (having better cars), you lose some (higher priced gas).

I've found a couple places difficult so far, too. I just beat 2-1 last night so I'm not very far along. I would have played more but I wanted to get my wife playing it. She didn't want to. She said, "It doesn't interest me." Then I finally talked her into playing it and she sat in there for over half an hour going "Cool!"

Why does everybody repeat the mantra 'Ivy Bridge'? Will it make the Intel's HD 3000 perform better in some kind of mysterious magical way? Or do you expect that by the time IB is released Intel will have developed a new, presumably better, IGP? Shall we expect the same comments "Intel IGP sucks I'm gonna skip IB and wait for whatever-bridge" again next year?
I am aware that, of all computers Apple produces, the MBA will suffer the most from advancements of technology because it is not upgradeable. So, if there are some radical improvements that IB will introduce that I might be interested in I will join the camp of people who will wait. The present 11" can't do the job I like it to, I need a faster processor but I like the form of 11" MBA.
