I guess we need to communicate our voices to all senators across united states. we need to spread the word at the earliest to get a quick action on this from governament.
I Guess some one should compose and message ,consolidate all web faxes and phone numbers at one place just like how we did it for CIR bill.
It will be easy for members to send information easily.
If each senator recieves more than 10,000 emails or faxes or phone calls then we can hope there is a chance to file 485 this month or at the earliest in October.

People can not expect to be treated special because they are charming to some group or more. There are hell a lot of people with special talent and each and every one expecting to be treated in a special way...then there is no need for that procedure. If SRK is started crying when the common people going through the ordeal...well thats makes the difference between the real start and a moron.

I think recapture of visas is not exactly possible but the court can order to clear the backlog before issuing visa numbers to other applicants depending on previous court precedents.

As far as I know...
LIke you said India was just born and Nehru with full majority was heading the country . You know what he did he came up with Democratic-Socialistic model which is the hybrid of Communist-Socialist Russia,Democartic-Capatilistic U.S
This Democratic-Socialism was never tried anywhere else in the world.It was the so called vision of Nehru(albeit cut-copy-paste).
Interestingly explanation he gave for advocating his recipe was the same explanation you are giving for 'why it is difficult to rule India'
He said since India is young country it needs gentle intervention from state to get rid of the existing social-economic disparities. His formula resulted in bureaucratic bottlenecks, red tape, widened existing socio-economic disparities ,gave rise to mafia culture and the list goes on making Nehruvian socialism synonymous to failure in Indian dictionary.His dynastic descendants tried to push it under carpet as long as they could .Result: we see people thinking Nehru was a visionary.
Our own Intelligent MMS in 90's named Nehruviain Socialism a failure before he opened the reforms in the market.It is said that when P.V/MMS duo took charge they found that country's foreign exchanges reserves couldn't last for 24 hours.

India is a victim of its own diversity and long/old (and strong) regional history. This diversity includes language, tradition, culture, food habit, religion, caste and so on. Therefore, India is victim of its own division and diversity. India is untied or born in 1947 because of British rule. Infact, there is no country called Republic of India before 1947. Indian constitution (or concept of united India) is brand new compare to regional history. Naturally, regional interest always prevails. So ruling India is still a new and uphill task. 60 years is very less to come to conclusion. Thats why, all congress PMs had failed in reforms. And now in the information age, India become materialistic, everybody wants everything. So naturally corruption increases. So one can not blame just congress alone for the mess.

Deleting this thread does not change the facts nor does IMV will gain anything out of it. The reason we even discuss these things here other than immigration is because we have immigrated and we have a common bonding.

Question for Lawyer or Senior Members of Forum:
Dear Sir/Madam,
I myself is currently in H1B and my wife on H4. We both have EAD and AP which we�re never activated since we had our H1 and H4 and my wife has not started working.
She should be starting work very soon and hence we would like to renew her EAD and AP. Also as part of her new job she needs to travel oustide US. So the question I had is whether she can travel outside US on her currenty valid AP with the application for renewal of AP/EAD in processing with USCIS.

There is possibility that retrogression begins in August. The USCIS maail department will acept only those cases the clerk could manually enter into the system by July 31st and then send all those applications back which he could not enter manually

When the applications are received, the mail office affixes a date stamp on applications which is the receipted date. The receipted date should fall on a day where Visa dates must be current. I sent my I485 to reach VSC on Sept 30, 2005 (Retrogression started on Oct 1st, 2005). My RD was somewhere second week of Oct. My son's application was returned for missing check (apparently they lost it) where I noticed the date stamp of Sept 30, 2005 and wrote back to them that it was their mistake. And finally they accepted my son's I485 with an RD of Nov 2005.

This is my Question for traveling with advance parole.
1. came to usa 1999 as b1 visa with my wife.
2. change f1 student (my wife ) me f2 student depend after 4 months.
3. apply for I-485 employment i am principle applicant july 2nd 2007 riceive date and notice date is august 24th 2007 .
4. my wife apply i-824 july 2nd 2007 and she left usa july 14th 2007.
5. i got Ead and advance parole august 30th 2007.
6. i have not started work yet.

so my question is my I-94 is f2 until d/s is no longer valied or not?

Simple. If it wasn't for that ceiling the vast majority of the visas will go to applicants from the oversubscribed countries. Now this is not a bad thing if the visas are in unlimited supply. But since that's not the case, the country ceiling ensures that even people from smaller nations will get an equal oportunity to claim a visa before all the visa are grabbed by their BIG brothers and sisters. And what's more what ever is left is given back to the oversubscribed countries.
How can you call that unfair? Is it fair to deprive a person from a smaller country, equal chance to have go at his GC?
